I’ve had this idea of making a rice dish with tea as the broth for a long time now. Here it is: Smokey Pesto Rice with beans and chick peas: 1 cup rice, 2 cups lapsang souchong tea (or any dark/smokey tea will suffice), 1 tablespoon pesto, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 5 tablespoons cannelini, 5 tablespoons chick peas, a bit of salt and pepper - boil then cover and let simmer | side dish: one whole Jersey tomato sliced, sprinkle with sea salt and cracked pepper then eat! #vegetarian #veg #vegan #food #recipe #tea #rice #dinner #plate #dish #nom #delicious #healthy #beans #eating (Taken with instagram)
